Chat history and privacy
To continue your chat, Lumify stores questions, AI replies, goals, situation, previous feedback, reports and the time of your storage consent on its server. If you are not signed in, a secure cookie restores them only in this browser and access expires 30 days after consent. While you are signed in, the chat is linked to your member account, can be opened on other devices after signing in, and is kept for up to 1 year after last use. Clearing the chat or deleting your account immediately removes the server records and withdraws consent. After you sign out, account-linked records are not shown in this browser. On shared devices others may see them while you are signed in. Chats are not automatically added to RAG materials. Google's processing and retention policies and server backup retention apply separately.- AI chats go to Google Gemini (free tier) and may be used by Google for service improvement and human review. Do not enter personal information.
- When signed in, chats are saved to your account for up to one year after last use. Clearing the chat or deleting the account removes them at once.
- Attached files are not stored on our servers and are used for that one question only.
- Passwords are stored hashed and can be reset by email.
- Usage logs are kept up to one year; research use is opt-in.

Registration stores your email, salted password hash, mentor/mentee role, optional nickname and creation time on the server for account management. With “Keep me signed in” on, you stay signed in for up to 180 days (extended each visit); with it off, until you close the browser. Account data is not deleted automatically when a session ends. Email ownership and mentor experience are unverified; email verification is not yet supported; passwords can be reset through a link sent to your registered email. While signed in, AI chats you consent to store are linked to your account and kept for up to 1 year after last use; clearing the chat or deleting your account removes them. You can delete your account immediately from Delete account on the account page; for other requests contact the official channel for account deletion inquiries. Attached files are used only for that one answer and are not stored on Lumify servers.
Logs contain a random participant ID, cohort code and login/session/question/response timestamps, home visits, goal selections, report download starts and task completions, never email, conversation text or passwords. Codes do not grant access. Withdrawal excludes existing and future records from research; operational records and chat storage remain separate.
New login, visit-session, usage-event and consent-change logs expire after at most one year (365 days) and are immediately excluded from queries and CSV. Physical deletion runs in request-triggered batches and may be delayed without requests. Visit sessions expire with their linked events 365 days after creation. Accounts, essential current consent and authentication sessions are separate from these observation logs. Re-consent never restores withdrawn historical records to research.
The default CSV contains my operational records, including records without research consent. research_current_consent is the current consent state; research_use_eligible is current eligibility. Neither describes historical consent nor grants separate research authorization.
Questions, conversation, excerpts and generated answers sent through free Gemini may be used by Google for service improvement and human review. This beta is for adults 18+.
Your question, recent conversation and relevant excerpts go to Google Gemini. Do not enter personal information, credentials or confidential material. Up to eight recent saved exchanges provide context. Failed generation is not saved as a completed exchange. A reply saved just before you press Stop may reappear; use Clear chat to delete it.
